Introduction
The Congregation, "Abambari b'Urukundo", is deeply rooted in the Diocese of Butare, particularly in the parish of Mugombwa — wherein Mugombwa serves as a spiritual hub for its activities. It is also actively present in the parishes of Kirarambogo and Magi, which were once part of the central parish of Mugombwa.

The Congregation's activities involve various apostolates, including teaching at the parish nursery school, taking care of the parish sacristy, teaching catechesis, and supporting the less fortunate. They have established an institute called Santa Annibale where mentally disabled children receive day-and-night care, education, and support. Casa Sant'Annibale is the place where these children reside, offering them a nurturing home.

The first community ("Maison Generalice") is the headquarters of the organization wherein the Mother Superior (MS) resides. The second community is the household of novitiates and aspirants: there are 4 novices, and 5 apostolates.
KIRARAMBOGO

Kirarambogo, located 40km away from the Parish of Mugombwa, is a Parish and a community wherein Abambari b'Urukundo operates a Covent of Catholic nuns.
Abambari b'Urukundo own one property here, a residence for Sisters of Abambari b'Urukundo in the community of Kirarambogo.
Sisters in Kirarambogo teach and prepare children, as well as adults, for Catholic Sacraments: including but not limited to baptism, communion and confirmation. This process is called Catechesis. Catechesis is defined as a basic Christian religious education of children and adults, often from a catechism book.
Sisters in Kirarambogo also engage in Parish services, including but not limited to conducting and overseeing the practice of adoration, preparing church altars, and managing the Parish Sacristy.
MAGI

In the Parish of Magi, Abambari b'Urukundo operates a Covent of Catholic nuns. The Sisters here aid in the parish services of Magi.
The primary function of the Sisters in Magi is to provide care and education to children who are mentally handicapped. They also are responsible for services, adoration, care of the altar, and managing the Parish Sacristy.
MAGI AND KIRARAMBOGO NEED YOUR HELP!
Property of Magi

The Covent of Magi need urgent repairs and construction to be done. The property shown on the left is where the mentally handicap children, learn, eat, play and sleep.

In the image on the left, the rocks on which the Mother Superior [Sr. Marie Goretti] is sitting have been placed there to prevent rain water from leaking into the building.

The dirt wall in front of her poses a safety hazard of collapsing. The Convent of Magi would appreciate your support to help fix these issues which are of great concern to the sisters and children that live there. For the sake of their safety and the continuation of their mission, please consider donating to help the cause.
Property of Kirarambogo

This is the residence of the Convent in Kirarambogo and the home of the Mother Superior. This is a larger building than Magi with two levels.
As seen in the photo it has uncompleted doors, with ply wood placed to provide some privacy, and to ward off intruders. The outside stairs connecting the two are uncompleted and pose a serious hazard of collapsing.
